SPEAKER_00

So, Kim, as you know, I was laid off over a month ago and I'm still working on our online business and trying to put the episodes together. I was going through some ideas for the for the episode. I thought, man, why people stay stuck? You know, why sometimes we just feel that we're just stuck? Yeah. I know you wanted to talk about this and I was kind of hesitating it. But now I'm like, okay, let's talk about it. Because uh the fear of failure is one of them. And or we're not confident enough. We're just kind of fighting in our heads, like, what should I do? Would you just have like this inner battle to trying to find a way to accomplish something or get into movement? Or maybe fear of judgment.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, I'm I'm glad to see that you're finally coming around to this.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Well, again, like I was like, all right, so we gotta put the episodes together. We know that we have so much to share, and I'm going we're going through this, you know, uh event. Like I said, the one of the episodes, uh, I am rewriting myself once again. And okay, so how do how do I find that spark? You know what I mean? How do I find that confidence to continue moving forward? There's always fear, like, oh shit, I'm gonna need income very soon. But when I'm working, when I'm putting the episodes together, I feel like, you know what, this needs to be done. The episodes need to be done. And and when I'm working also on e-commerce, I feel like, yeah, that this needs to be done also. You know, so there's these forces where you're just like, all right, how can you really focus on one thing, you know, to try to make things work?

SPEAKER_01

So are you willing to open up and face your vulnerabilities today? Is that what you're telling me?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know, try me.

SPEAKER_01

Or are you going to bury them deep down like you normally do?

SPEAKER_00

No, I don't know. Like this episode is going to like a having like a spin down, right? Like a I want you to commit. Okay, go ahead. Go ahead.

SPEAKER_01

Well, you tell me where's the fear of failure coming from?

SPEAKER_00

No, you know, uh, because there is maybe the amount of energy that you have to put up front. And it's not even while you're doing, it's also while you're asleep, right? Or when you're eating, it's like in the back of your mind, like I need to I need to work.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so you are admitting that there is an element of of fear of failure there. Because you will never admit that to me.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, how can I put it?

SPEAKER_01

You always say, like, I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid, and you shut me down. Like there is an element of fear there, otherwise we you and I would be much further along.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So in life. Yeah, so we work, uh, as you know, we do our meditations and we do our visualizations to kind of overcome the fears and all that. But yeah, so I don't know. It's just like a this weird, this weird feeling, you know, that sometimes just creeps in and that you just like this morning. I was feeling that like, and I'll have to use this technique a few times this morning from uh the Silva method, like the cancel, cancel. And it's actually working, believe it or not.

SPEAKER_01

I've been using I do I've done delete, delete for many, many years, and whenever I have a negative thought creep in, I have to say delete, delete, and just like do a hand wave in front of my face.

SPEAKER_00

And I think because this morning I had this um feeling that I have to go to work for some reason came to me, was like, I don't know, I saw the time. I felt like I I have to get ready, get in the shower, and go to work. You know what I mean? That old feeling came to me, and then like just weird, right? It's just weird because now we're just managing our time, but you have no control over that. Like, you know, uh this morning I was just feeling like I gotta go to work. Or I have to get up, I have to get in the shower, but no, like I'm getting up with a new schedule, the schedule that we already were implementing, and it's just weird. So that kind of made me think, all right, so there is some sort of some sort of a uh fear or uncertainty still that is defaulting automatically that I have to find a way to control.

SPEAKER_01

Do you think that there's a fear of judgment in there? And really think about it before you answer with the podcast specifically. Do you think there's a fear of judgment or even with the e-commerce business?

SPEAKER_00

Well, there's always going to be judgment. When you do, it doesn't matter. There's always judgment.

SPEAKER_01

You know, it's it doesn't really have a do you face fear with that?

SPEAKER_00

Everyone has that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So some Well, let's talk about the podcast specifically. Are you like fearful of people judging?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they're gonna judge.

SPEAKER_01

Even if I'm the name, I know they're gonna judge. I'm asking you, are you feel fearful of it?

SPEAKER_00

I don't put too much thought into that. Okay. Because again, it's just being me talking. And people, they're just coming. They're people, they're just gonna say whatever they're gonna fucking say. The fear of judgment may be family, you know, not strangers. Because I don't know the people. People are there right now, they're just gonna go through videos or pictures or whatever, and some of them are they're jokers.

SPEAKER_01

Keyboard warriors.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they're just they have to put their joke out there and or they're just haters. Right? So that's what they do. They just they cannot wait, and they're addicted to make a freaking comment, a negative comment. Because that's how that's how they see life.

SPEAKER_01

So would you say that any of that is holding you back?

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no, not that. Being honest with you, no. It's just again, maybe with my family, maybe.

SPEAKER_01

Um What do you think your family would say?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. It's just again how you don't even talk to half of your family. I know, but it's just like maybe But when I get the conversation, if you know, like alright, so I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

That's well, I will say that before this journey that I've been on the last two years of doing the inner work and healing myself, I have a huge fear of failure and a huge feel of judgment. I really, I can really stress myself out about that kind of stuff. But working on myself and working on my confidence and not listening to the wrong people. I've been working on that, tuning out the noise, if you will, because all that shit is noise to me now. I mean, I'm not gonna say that I don't worry about that or think about it, but I'm light years ahead of where I used to be with that. I I used to like just live in the shadow and live in the shell of myself because I was worried about what other people will think, but I don't live my life like that anymore. There's still elements of that that creep in for sure that I work on all the time with I do like, you know, hypnosis, I do self-hypnosis a lot. That's really helpful with the confidence piece. I have felt a literal shift within my brain doing that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And and different techniques, but I'd say that was the biggest factor for me.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So and then one of the episodes.

SPEAKER_01

The biggest tool for me, not factor.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So one of the episodes uh we talked, you talked about hypnosis. I think we should talk a little bit more about that because I think that people don't really understand when you say hypnosis.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

You know?

SPEAKER_01

So I mean, without going down that rabbit hole because there's so much research on it and everything, but the basis of it is, and I will probably mess this up as I say it, but the basis of it is you're like literally your brain is like a computer, and you have to remove the old programming and replace it with new programming. I think that's like the best way to look at it. And so your old programming, my old programming is these like negative beliefs of you know, people are always judging me and whatever the old belief is. Or like I don't have any confidence, and you know, I'm I'm not good enough to do this or to do that, and who's gonna listen to me? Those kind of beliefs.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You need to remove those and replace them with new beliefs.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so then how do you do that for those out there that didn't understand? Okay, let's say I do have all these old beliefs and that were programmed when I was a kid or when I was in my teenage years. Let's say, okay, I'm gonna go through, I want to do hypnotherapy. What do you do?

SPEAKER_01

Well, we all have those limiting beliefs somewhere into some capacity. They're buried within everybody. Nobody's an exception to that rule. Or at least I can't imagine a a person.

SPEAKER_00

We we know, we know because with our parents, we actually know how how uh our parents are. Like my mom is always everything I say to my mom, she has to add a negative. You know, it is because she The sky is falling. The sky is falling, you know. And because they're they're being conditioned their entire life to expect the worst.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and therefore conditioned us to expect the same.

SPEAKER_00

So yeah, so and it's really hard even for them, or like for my mom when I tell her that I'm so because I'm always positive. Mm-hmm, you know, and I tell her always the positive way of whatever the case might be. And she always ha she always has to put the negative spin. Yeah. It's like she needs to go.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but Oh yeah, I catch myself doing it all the time to even our kids because that's the way I was conditioned, but I'm still working on fixing it myself. So when I catch myself, I flip it. And I, you know, just stop it in his tracks and flip the narrative or let that thought go without verbalizing it to me or my kids or whatever it is.

SPEAKER_00

But when you discovered uh hypnotherapy, uh you said, okay, I need to work on some some blocks or some old beliefs that are actually affecting your personality and your daily life, because again, you're like operating based on those beliefs. Correct. And you're like, all right, but those beliefs and the way I see the world, they're not productive for me.

SPEAKER_01

Correct. You have to eradicate those beliefs. The key to making changes, in my opinion, in my experience, is for me, I have had to eradicate my old beliefs, make the changes in order to allow the new stuff in. You can't just keep bearing that stuff down and expect to make changes. You need to get rid of it. You need to let it go. And um, truthfully, that I don't know if you can ever fully get rid of it, but you can definitely minimize it and a lot of it go.

SPEAKER_00

So um But okay, so let's walk through the process again. Um okay, I I need to work on some, like I said, some blockages or some beliefs. What do I do? Like what do you do right? What what can I do right now to start working on those? Yeah, I know you mentioned in the past in one of the episodes, you mentioned that let's say you can go on YouTube and there's some videos.

SPEAKER_01

But you know for hypnotherapy.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, because again, people don't understand, okay, what the heck is that?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. So my fave, my all-time favorite for hypnotherapy. If anybody wants to look it up there, he has a lot of free content on YouTube is Paul McKenna. He is amazing, hands down, the best. I've done a ton of self-hypnosis videos and audios, and he is by far the best, most effective that I've ever experienced. Um, super smart guy. He's been doing it for so long. And so, for example, you have to, it's like a, it's it's like a meditative state, right? You have to go into your alpha level. And what I do is I same for meditation. I make sure the dogs are in another room, the kids are busy or not home. Best best case for me is when nobody's home. You you can, you know, it depends how easily you can focus. I know you can focus and let go a lot simpler than I can, but it takes a lot for me. So I put my eye mask on, I put my earbuds in, make sure everybody's situated. I don't have to worry about being somewhere. I need like my mind clear. That's when I can get into the best state of mind. And so I will listen to it. It's something he walks you through so you can just follow his voice, pay attention to what he's saying. You don't even need to really pay attention to what he's saying because what he is saying, there's so much science behind it, but you you you want his message or you want the hypnosis message to get down to your subconscious mind. Okay. And it's like a trap, it's like a steel door there. So you have to your conscious mind has to be busy in order to let the new pra programming through to your subconscious mind. Yeah. That's the easiest way for it to sink in. That's the only way for it to sink in. Yeah. And so what happens is through the med the sorry, the hypnosis, he's going to start talking about removing these old blocks and replacing it with new blocks or however it goes, there's different ways of doing it. But you want to get these new messages down to your subconscious brain. And it's going to start slowly replacing these old beliefs.

SPEAKER_02

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_01

And it's consistency too. It's not always just one and done, you know, do it one time. I've done some of them about like confidence or about money. I've done them hundreds of times. Like I get down, I just into my level and I just kind of really focus and let my let let my mind open up and to like listen to what he's saying and hear what he's saying and just let it really resonate down to like every cell of my body, if you will.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And with the confidence one specifically, I felt a shift in my brain. And I don't know how to explain that, but it was like this was probably last year, like more than half a year ago. But I felt, no, this was probably over a year ago. This was definitely over a year ago when we were first pondering doing the podcast. We were talking about it, and I thought to myself, it sounds so exciting, and it's exactly what I've always wanted to do, right? Because I've always wanted to help people, and I know that we can provide a lot of value to people. However, the thought of hearing my own voice even played back to me made me cringe so much I couldn't bear the thought of doing this.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

The thought of seeing myself on video, oh my God, it was horrendous. Like I had, I just couldn't do it. That was an old belief.

SPEAKER_00

It was an old belief. So basically you were feeling uh not worthy enough.

SPEAKER_01

I guess. Right.

SPEAKER_00

And your voice was like, look, who's gonna listen to that?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't want to even hear it. How why would somebody else want to hear it?

SPEAKER_00

So and again, this is really hard for people to understand. I mean, for me at some point it was, now I do fully understand it. But we do get programmed throughout the years at our homes and schools and the news, now social media, teachers. We just don't even know it. And now you're basically running your life based on all those beliefs that you have, right? What was taught, you know, from your parents, from your grandparents, and what your great great greatparents, you know, taught to your parents and down the line, you know, you're basically moving and operating based on those beliefs that they were passed down to you. You know, and again, you just don't know. You think like, oh, this is who I am. But how can that be when so much stuff, negative stuff, good stuff was passed down as well, but so many negative stuff that were passed down to you that are negatively affecting your life every single day.

SPEAKER_01

And you don't even realize half of that.

SPEAKER_00

You don't even realize it, yeah. So that's when you kinda Hey, wait a minute. That's when you have to kinda pause and acknowledge I need to find a way to fix this. Because you know, we all know that we have this kind of we're all special and we just don't know. We just don't believe in ourselves. We all have this kind of abilities or uh skills and we're just kinda uh, maybe not because again we don't believe in ourselves.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, who am I? Who am I to be telling that person something?

SPEAKER_00

Like Yeah. So you really want to m remove those those um beliefs out of your head. And it's funny because you know, I heard in the past that when you tell your dreams to your friends or your parents or whatever, they always say, What? Right. They don't believe it. They don't believe it. Don't believe that you're capable of that dream or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

Well, they're trying to protect you. They're not necessarily being mean, uh, you know, being cruel, they're just trying to protect you. Like, oh, you can't do that. Don't don't put don't waste your money on that. Because then you'll lose your money and you'll fail. Like it's that's not gonna work out.

SPEAKER_00

For your time, they're gonna make fun of you. No one really makes it out. That's really hard to do. But it's because we have our own dreams and we know our own capabilities. So and when we tell some w somebody else uh our dreams or what we think that we are able of, they don't understand because in their DNA they don't have the same vision as you do. So they don't align with it. You know what I mean? And also because of their own beliefs.

SPEAKER_01

Right. And they project their beliefs onto you.

SPEAKER_00

That's when you actually realize, like, oh yeah, I need I need to remove these old beliefs to kind of move forward to kinda be a better person. And here, here I am, or here we are, um recording or life, basically. You know, putting it out there.

SPEAKER_01

But like you said a year ago, you couldn't even do any of that. And then I started doing like the um Paul McKenna's confidence hypnosis, and I felt this switch in my brain where one day I was like, I I literally just didn't care to hear my voice. Like, yes, I I we started doing it. We started practicing like a year ago or whatever it was, and I was like, oh, okay, like it's not so bad. And it slowly started to evolve, and I'm not saying like, oh my gosh, I'm just so confident now. You know, every all my problems have disappeared, and I'm just this overly confident person. No, I still have to work at it. However, there was a literal quick click in my brain where I'm like, no, wait a minute. I have so much value to provide to people, and it really doesn't matter what other people think. They can take it or leave what I have to say. It doesn't matter. Like, why should I let my fear of what other people think hold me back any longer? It's held me back way too long.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. And it's funny because I just saw, I think that was the last week or so, that I saw uh uh Hell Kitchen with uh, what is it, Gordon Ramsay?

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

There is this guy cooking in front of him, right? And then the chef is kind of asking him, okay, let me try the food. And then he asked, How much would you charge for this for this dish? And the guy said,$220. The other guys were all laughing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, of course.

SPEAKER_00

He said$220, and then the chef started eating it. And he goes, Okay. I see. That's good. Okay, I see. All right, yeah, I'll pay$220 for it. So see, when the guy said I I would charge$220, everyone laughed, but he was serious. He believed in himself, he gave himself a price. My dish, I would charge$220 for that dish. It was just steak with mashed potatoes and something else. And uh again, everyone laughed, but he believed in himself. And the chef said, Yep, okay, yeah, I'll pay$220. And I was like, okay, see? No one is gonna understand you. Right. If he goes out of the show, he walks through his neighborhood or goes to hang out with his friends and family. Oh, so John, how much are you gonna charge for those dishes? Everyone is gonna laugh. He would never do that. He would never open the restaurant.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Right. So it's just like we have this, no one will understand the potential you have in you.

SPEAKER_01

Good story. Yeah, I get it. No, I I hear you. Even uh last year, I wouldn't have been able to say, like, oh, I have value to provide to people. Like I those words wouldn't come out of my mouth. I didn't feel valuable. I didn't feel I had value to provide to people, but I know I do. Like I feel it within me. I feel it within my heart. I know that I can help people move their lives forward. I know I we can help people rebuild their lives and, you know, overcome obstacles that they're facing or within themselves or whatever the case may be. Like I know we can provide value and help people move forward. And that's not something I would have been able to say a year ago because I was very not confident in my. Ability to do that. Even though I had the ability then, I still had the ability. I just didn't I didn't believe in myself because I let other people shape me as a young person in my younger life. When I was a kid. My younger life. Yeah. When I was a kid. Yeah. I let people, you know, I let their beliefs about me shape who I am. And that's not okay. Those need to be eradicated.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So again, when I said at the beginning of the episode, why people stay stuck or why do I feel stuck? It's just a fear of failure. Fear of just, you know, you need to eradicate somehow those fears. Yep. You know, to kind of move forward. Here we are, you know, recording, even though we were because we're always looking for it to be for the right moment, but there's no right moment. Right. You just have to make it.

SPEAKER_01

We're always waiting for that confidence to come first in order to, you know, move forward. And the truth is, like the hypnotherapy, I can work on my confidence within me, but I'm not I didn't feel confident about like doing the podcast or doing our e-commerce business. I didn't feel confident that we could do it until we started doing it. We had to feel the fear and do it anyway, which is an amazing book, by the way. Yep. True. Yeah, the confidence is not gonna show up before the action. You really need to start doing things first. And the more you do it, the more confident you're going to feel. It's like when you are, let's say you're going zip lining. You can't feel confident before you leave the platform because you've never done it before. You don't know what it's like.

SPEAKER_02

No, I can do that.

SPEAKER_01

No, I know you can't. I'm just saying people in general. Like you can't, you can't feel confident leaving the platform because you've never done it. Where the confidence comes in is after you take that leap of faith and you take that next step and you're in the doing. And then you'll be like, oh, well, this isn't so bad. I can do this.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, there's not much to do. Like you have to get from you don't have a choice once you leave the platform in that case. But you you can't feel confidence before you do it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like you can work on all the things you can work on and you can be as prepared as you can be, but you can't, the confidence isn't gonna come until you do it. So the more we got on the microphone, the more I listened to the playbacks, the more I watched the videos, the more I got confident, was like, oh well, that's my voice now. And okay, well, that's what I look like on camera. And oh, I don't look as stupid as I thought I was going to. And oh, my message is pretty clear, and my message is my message, and people need to hear my message.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, exactly. So what are you saying is just uh you have to reframe the readiness.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Right. So maybe readiness isn't a feeling.

SPEAKER_01

It's not. You're never gonna feel ready. You just have to jump in and do it.

SPEAKER_00

So it's it's basically a decision. Okay, I'm ready.

SPEAKER_01

It is a decision. The decision comes before the confidence. The decision to leave that platform and jump off comes before you feel confident.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Confidence is experience. You know?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah, that makes sense. And that's and we know that because again, like we just get up in the morning and we're like, all right, we have to we have to freaking do it.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

You know, like today, again, every day or every day, like, all right, we gotta go, we gotta go do it.

SPEAKER_01

And every day so far, when we get down into our podcast studio, yeah, we sit here and we mess around for a good half hour before we feel like, okay, like we're ready to talk about this topic because we have to go back and forth and we're not trusting ourselves, but we need to learn to just trust ourselves in that, like, okay, we we do know what we're talking about because we've lived it, because we've done it, because we have all this experience, and we just need to put it out there. But we hem and we haw.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I guess that there is no script. There's we're just recording, you know, conversations. Conversations and, you know, and the how we feel and how everything is working out for us, or fears, or what we get stuck, or how we meditate and you know, everything that you've heard so far.

SPEAKER_01

And the more we get on the microphone, the quicker we can do it, the easier it becomes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

This everything's practice.

SPEAKER_00

So okay, I guess my takeaway t today is just basically we don't need the whole roadmap. No. Just like you say, just freaking jump and do it. And we that's what we we've been doing for the last, I don't know, I can ten years.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_00

So, and here I am, unemployed, try to make it work, try to work on my business every single day, working on the podcast as well, putting the message out there for those that, you know, that we know that our stories are gonna resonate with one of you guys. Yeah, here we are, making it work, working through our fears, working through our emotions.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you don't need the whole roadmap for whatever the next step is in in your life. Like you don't need to have the full picture and a hundred percent clarity from the get-go. You need to just have, you just need to take the next step to gain clarity. And the more steps you take, the clearer the vision will be of whatever whatever it is that you're working on in your life. We were very fearful of choosing the wrong path because we had failed restaurants in Connecticut. And when we moved here, we we were afraid because we had kids and because we were paying off debt and we had a mortgage and all these different things, we were afraid. And we were still continuing to move forward in small ways, but we stayed very stuck in those small ways because of our fear and because we had failed before.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

We were able to move past our fear, like in a way where we weren't letting like our failure hold us back as far as, oh, we're never gonna try again. That was that was horrible. Shut it down. We're just gonna have jobs forever and not work on any of our our dreams and our goals. That didn't hold us back. As soon as, you know, our restaurants failed, we picked ourselves up, we moved across the country and we dove back in with e-commerce and we were like, okay, well, but while we were doing that, we stayed stuck in a fear of we were afraid to go big. We were afraid to invest too much money. So my point was we don't we were allowing those those failures to keep us stuck because we were scared. But then we slowly but surely just kept showing up and doing the work every day. You know, somebody challenged me, like, hey, you know, you're you haven't had we're some uh it was another e-commerce seller, and she was just like, Oh, I whatever it was. She had a friend that challenged her to start an Etsy store. And she was like, um, yeah, you wouldn't be able to grow your Etsy store as as big as I have been able to. And she was like, Are you kidding me? Yes, I can. And she took on that challenge and then she called me and she was like, Kim, like, we have a new challenge here. And she was like, let she's like, My friend wasn't like a friend, it was like a friend of me kind of thing, said that I can't grow an Etsy store as big as hers. And she's like, We should do that. I'm like, okay. And I like Etsy wasn't even on my radar because mine wasn't like a handmade product, but turns out the niche that we're in is I'm able to sell it on Etsy. So she says, you know, like we should, we should, you know, prove her wrong or whatever. And I'm like, okay. So I threw one of our listings up on Etsy, one listing, and it started taking off. And I was like, oh, okay. And I didn't feel confident about doing it. I was like, uh, I don't know about Etsy, like, I don't know if that's our market or whatever. But I just kept showing up and I'm like, okay, well, one product is selling. Let me, let me put another product on. And then I just kept showing up and doing the work every day, a little bit, a little bit, a little bit. We were still very like reserved about how we went about it because we were fearful of failure again. But we were consistent. And I just kept doing a listing, one listing, one listing, one listing, you know, all these things over and over. And that consistency, even though I didn't know like the big picture of what it would turn into, I didn't know where we were going with it per se.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But I was just being consistent with it every day. And like little things were working and change was happening, momentum was building.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

So it was like just pushing myself, even though I didn't know. I didn't have the confidence. I didn't know that we could be like a a big seller online. I didn't know those things.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. You don't need to know the whole roadmap.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

That's how I see it in the morning now. Like, hey, I can't, I don't, you don't need to see the whole thing. Don't just get up and do it, you know.

SPEAKER_01

So practice makes progress. There's no perfection in this world. So nothing's going to be perfect, but practice makes progress, and progress is what you need. You don't you don't need perfection. You don't need to start out perfect.

SPEAKER_00

No, we know that now. We know that that like when we're building something, and for all for those out there that are building something and they're always waiting for the right moment and to be perfect, hey, don't do that.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Uh you just waste time. You can you can iron things out as you go. We notice that the hard way, because I I'm like I like to perfection everything. And they just basically work in a perfection.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

But you're not moving the needle. You're not.

SPEAKER_01

You and I are both perfectionists, so it's very hard. But it's like the Martin Luther King's uh Junior's famous quote where he says, Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase. And it's literally, I love that quote, it resonates so deeply for me because like you are not going to see all the the the big picture. It's not going to be unfolding like that. That's just not how life works.

SPEAKER_00

And life is not like that because even with our vision, you cannot see as far away.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, you can see far away, but not as far away. Yeah. And when you're driving, you cannot see as far away. Right. You know what I mean? So everything is like, hey, you have like a dis range of how far you can see, and then where you can see, and then just go.

SPEAKER_01

You have to focus on what's right in front of you. Right in front of you. What's working, what you can do today. You you don't focus on, you know, your your five-year goal today. Like the the the long-term vision of the project, because it's going to change a hundred times, whatever it is. A million times it's going to change. So you have to focus on what's in front of you for today. And that's where your confidence will come from. It'll start building like that over time.

SPEAKER_00

You just have to push forward.

SPEAKER_01

We are showing up and doing the work every day, and that's all we can control right now.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. So, all right. So I think that's it for today.

SPEAKER_01

We hope that you will take the next small step in whatever it is that you're trying to rebuild or create. And uh one step at a time.

SPEAKER_00

That's it.

SPEAKER_01

All right. See you on the next one.

SPEAKER_00

All right, see ya.
